Helica operates in the field of airborne remote sensing using high resolution laser scanning systems (LiDAR), digital cameras, gyrostabilized high resolution electro-optics devices and geophysical sensors. Helica produces digital models of the terrain, aerial photographs, topographic and geologic maps, physical analysis of the environment and digital cartography.
Thanks to the considerable experience acquired by its team, Helica provides accurate analyses of the produced data. This data can be integrated into a GIS (Geographic Information System) or managed using other dedicated tools for the analysis of ground resources, for the assessment of environmental impacts or hydrological risks and for the design and maintenance of civil engineering works.
Helica is based in Amaro (Udine), in northeastern Italy. Helica has been active on an international level for years and it established cooperations with organizations and institutions worldwide, from Canada to Australia, from the United States to Austria.
Airborne remote sensing has been the company’s core business from the very beginning, in April 2000.
Helica holds a number of licenses and operator certificates in this field. The aim is to supply high quality products derived from remote sensing data quickly and accurately, in line with international standards, to fully meet our client’s needs.
Helica operates in partnership with companies with a specialized experience in remote sensing projects worldwide to complete its management and analysis capacity for the collected data.
